I was hired by Common Ground Management to create a series of videos to help promote and raise awareness about this effective after school mentoring program. There were six videos in total (others can be viewed upon request). For each shoot I would travel to a different school, meet the instructors and the class and spend the day documenting the class and conducting interviews. I would edit each video the following week and after revisions deliver a finished product.

For this video I showed up on tree planting day with my camera and captured the event and conducted interviews. In the editing process I worked with a graphic designer to get the finished look and used original music from a local musician.

Irish painter Timothy Hawkesworth asked me to create a promotional video for his workshops at Spring Hills Farm. I spent about three days filming at this inspiring location and worked hard in the editing process to capture the feeling of the place and the people.

I created this video for herbalist Maia Toll (of Herbiary). We spent a few days shooting these images and worked on the voice over script together until it felt right. Witch Camp is awesome!
My role: Producer, Sound Engineer. This was shot in 16mm filmon location in and around Quito, Ecuador.
This documentary was a labor of love. I worked with filmmaker Bernardo Morillo who wished to raise an awareness and appreciation of Afro Latino culture and music. We raised funds, budgeted and planned. We traveled to Quito, Ecuador and to remote areas outside the city to film this awe inspiring group of women who escaped domestic slavery to become independent homeowners. I handled logistics, schlepped a lot of heavy equipment in rugged conditions and recorded all the sound. From day one we formed friendships with the group which allowed us to document without being intrusive. The group of women, who call themselves Africa Mia, have used the film as a fundraising tool.
